With less than a month before the April 17th deadline for tax returns, it's definitely time to get moving if you haven't already filed! Here are some resources to help you do that:
Free Filing for Everyone- links to companies offering free filing options and free fillable forms. Most of the free software options require you to have an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) under $57,000.
VITA- assistance for taxpayers with $50,000 or less in income. There are locations available all over the country with trained volunteers to assist you in preparing your taxes if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself.
AARP Tax Aide- tax preparation assistance for taxpayers 60 and older.
Taxpayer Assistance Centers- many local walk-in offices have tax form preparation assistance available to taxpayers with incomes under $50,000, as well. Be sure to check the services offered at your local office before going in to make sure they offer this assistance.
